LADY GAGA and Giorgio Armani have formed a multimillion dollar partnership that will involve the legendary designer making the costumes for Gaga's forthcoming tour in December.

"A huge company like Giorgio Armani has the duty to always be alert to trends and what appeals to young people," says Roberta Armani, Mr Armani's niece and head of VIP relations. "It helped to see how the world is through Lady Gaga, the way she uses Facebook and Twitter."

Although there is still very little information on what the pair's collaboration will involve, Gaga is the first star that Armani has designed a specific gown for. Celebrities to have previously worn his label have chosen from existing collections.

"It wouldn't be possible to give Gaga a look from the collection because she wears pieces of art. It's theatrical," Roberta tells the Wall Street Journal.
