A shopping extravaganza will take place next month when the global fashion phenomenon known as Fashion's Night Out takes place on Rodeo Drive.

There are 67 Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills retailers signed up to participate in the event on Friday, September 10 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Rodeo Drive Committee is the merchants' association which is organizing the event.

The night will feature a variety of events including celebrity appearances, DJs, art installations, new product introductions, charitable shopping, anniversary events, complimentary manicures, tastings, gifts with purchase, drawings and a variety of carnival-themed fashion events.

The centerpiece of the celebration will be a four-story Ferris Wheel on the 200 block of Rodeo Drive with complimentary rides for two when guests show their receipt of purchases from participating stores on September 10 -- while rides last.

"It's becoming the Rodeo Drive Carnivale with a chic international fashion twist," says Kathy Gohari, regional director of Valentino and event co-chair.

"Rodeo Drive wanted to lead the way in making fashion, retail and shopping fun again for our customers, residents and visitors alike. The celebration is rapidly expanding to include stores on Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Drive and Brighton Way."
